Install wget in CentOS

rpm -Uvh wget

Download the package: (check the latest package)

yum -y install perl perl-Net-SSLeay openssl perl-IO-Tty
rpm -U webmin-1.760-1.noarch.rpm

Setup Firewall RULE

YOu can see the active zones, open the TCP Port 10000 and reload to activate.

firewall-cmd –get-active-zones
firewall-cmd –permanent –zone=public –add-port=10000/tcp
firewall-cmd –reload

Check the firewall rules

firewall-cmd –list-all

Classic iptables setup. First, stop and mask the firewall service:

systemctl stop firewalld
systemctl mask firewalld

Then, install the iptables-services package:

yum install iptables-services

Enable the service at boot-time:

systemctl enable iptables

Managing the service

systemctl [stop|start|restart] iptables

Saving your firewall rules can be done as follows:

service iptables save


/usr/libexec/iptables/iptables.init save



df -l   –> Check the free space

dpkg -l linux-image-\* | grep ^ii  –> List all Kernals

sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3.8.0-42-generic  –> Remove OLD Kernal
